Multibillionaire, philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has announced to give every college graduate in the United States a free copy of the book Factfulness.
Factfulness written by the late Swedish doctor and statistician Hans Rosling was not completed by him it was later completed with the help of his son Ola Rosling and daughter-in-law Anna Rosling Rönnlund. The book talks about the radical new explanation about global trends, and shares 10 instincts that can change our perspective.
Gates wrote, “I’ve been recommending this book since the day it came out. Hans, the brilliant global-health lecturer who died last year, gives you a breakthrough way of understanding basic truths about the world—how life is getting better, and where the world still needs to improve. And he weaves in unforgettable anecdotes from his life. It’s a fitting final word from a brilliant man, and one of the best books I’ve ever read.”
“Although I think everyone should read it, it has especially useful insights for anyone who’s making the leap out of college and into the next phase of life,” he further wrote on his blog recently.
Factfulness is published by Flatiron and by Sphere in the US and UK respectively.
