Born on 18 May 1048 Omar Khayyám was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, and poet. Treatises on mechanics, geography, mineralogy, music, and Islamic theology were also written by him. He was born on May 18, 1048, in Iran. The Treatise on Demonstration of Problems of Algebra (1070), one of the most important treatises on algebra was written by him even before decades. His translated collection of quatrains or robāʿīyāt published in 1859 helped his fame travel across the world. The poems had an intellectual unity and consistency.
Omar Khayyám who died in 1131 is buried in the Khayyám Garden which is situated in Nishapur.
