DC Books won eight FIP awards for its various titles and ninth award for its magazine –Emerging Kerala. Sampoorna Himayala Paryadanam, Vazhthupattillathe, Rapunzel Kuttikalkku Priyapetta Grimminte Kathakal, The Ivory Throne, Classic Malabar Recipe, Koopasasthra Prakashika, Sahyahrudayam, Madhurapuri are the titles which won 2018 FIP awards.
Rapunzel Kuttikalkku Priyapetta Grimminte Kathkal won the second prize in the Children’s Books category.
Manu S Pillai‘s The Ivory Throne won the Second prize in the category Text Books & Reference Books: College &Universities.
Koopasasthra Prakashika won the second prize in the category Scientific & Technical/Medical Books whereas Classic Malabar Recipe won the Certificate of merit in the same category.
Sahyahrudayam won second prize in the category Cover Jackets. Madhurapuri won first prize in Digital Printing and Emerging Kerala bagged second prize in the category Journals and House Magazines.
The ceremony for awards for excellence in Book Production will take place on 30th August at 4 pm in Hall No.7, Pragati Maidan New Delhi.
Every year DC Books receives the most number of awards as it is the sole principle of the publishing house to maintain the quality in printing and publishing since its inception. The Federation of Indian Publishers is the representative body of publishers in English, Hindi and other regional languages with its membership from all over India. The main objective of the Federation is to promote professional standards among members and provide a forum for publishers to discuss their problems at national and international level.
