Eminent neurology professor and author, Dr. K Rajasekahran Nair has been awarded the Alumini Award instituted by Trivandrum Medical College. The event witnessed the presence Arif Mohammed Khan, the governor of Kerala,who presented the award to Dr. Rajasekharan Nair.
The author of Oru Puzhayude Kadha, the first novel on Environment in Malayalam, Dr. K Rajasekharan Nair started his career as a Professor of Medicine at the Medical College, Trivandrum in 1967. The neurology departments of Kozhikode Medical College and Thiruvananthapuram Medical College were started by him. After 14 years of service, he retired as the Director of Neurology at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. After retirement, he currently continues working as Professor of Neurology Emeritus at the Medical College, Trivandrum and as the Senior Neurology Consultant at the Cosmopolitan Hospital.
He has chaired three national neurological organizations, the Indian Neurological Society, the Indian Neurology Academy and the Indian Epilepsy Society.
Dr. K Rajasekharan Nair has authored more than 130 scientific papers and 14 English books and is the author of Rogangalum Sargathmakathayum, Vaidhyavum Samoohavum,
