An artist’s view of the past opens us a window to what one couldn’t have experienced otherwise. A historian also does the same without overlooking any of the facts that qualifies to be a part of the history and giving it the recognition it requires. Celebrating literature and history, the fifth edition of Kerala Literature Festival has revealed the session featuring William Dalrymple.
The session titled Forgotten Masters will explore the environmental and social realities of the country during the colonial period and the artists who made it possible. Restoring the true authorship to the artists to decoding the flora, fauna and the societal realities the session would be a nuanced portrait with the historian who is set to take us through the lesser known history about the colonization and the country, the artists’ way.
Meet eminent personalities and be a part of the four day long literature festival scheduled from January 16th – 19th 2020, will be held at the Kozhikode beach.
