Manipravalam and pattu is one of the main stream branches of literature which decorates a significant role in the language history of Kerala. Primary book of Manipravala language and pattu and literature happens to be Leelathilakam. The book was written in the 14th Century but the author remains to be unknown. But he is often denoted or called as leelathilakakaran during the language literary discussions. The book was written in Sanskrit.
Language scholar Attoor Krishnapisharadi translated the whole book to Malayalam in the year 1917 and published in the form of a book.
In 1955 Ilamkulam Kunjanpilla translated it in Malayalam with briefings. This is an authoritative text especially on Pattu, Manipravalam, Keralabasha, Nambiathamizh.The book has eight chapters. Like mathematics this can’t be by hearted but when studied it seems easy.
In 1998 current books published Leelathilakom 1 muthal 3 shilpangal later in 2017 the first DC Books imprint has been released.
