• Maize flour -200 gm
• Refined oil -1 cup
• Thymol seeds -1/2 teaspoon
• Salt as required
• All purpose flour -1 1/2 cup
• Oregano -1 teaspoon
• Vegetable oil -4 teaspoon
Take a large bowl and mix together maize flour, all purpose flour, thymol or carom seeds, oregano, vegetable oil, and salt. Add a little water and knead soft dough. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Divide this soft sough into 3 equal portions. Dust with some dry flour and roll these portions into a chapati. With a fork prick the chapatis evenly. Then cut the chapati into 16 or more triangles. Keep these aside.
In a skillet on medium flame, heat oil to deep-fry these nachos. When the oil is hot enough, add cut triangles in it and deep fry them for crispiness. Drain these nachos on a kitchen towel.
You can sprinkle some more oregano on them and store in an air-tight container. Enjoy with cheese dip or salsa as you like.
