• Oats -1 cup
• Rice flour -1/2 cup
• Chopped coriander leaves -1 handful
• Finely chopped,peeled ginger -1 inch
• Garlic -7 cloves
• Salt -2 pinches
• Gram flour (besan) -1/2 cup
• Chopped onion -2
• Chopped green chilli -6
• Curry leaves -1 handful
• Butter -2 teaspoon
• Refined oil -1 cup
Soak the oats for 1 hour in warm/hot water. Drain excess water and transfer to a large bowl. To this add gram flour, rice flour, onions, coriander leaves, salt, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and butter.
Mix well until a thick batter is formed.
Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop small portions of the batter and fry until golden brown and crispy.
Serve as a snack with evening tea or coffee.
