The 2019 Pulitzer prize for fiction was won by Richard Powers for Overstory and Forrest Gander won in the category of poetry for the elegy titled Be With.
Published in 2018, Overstory was the most lauded work which deals with the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Shortlisted for the 2018 Man Booker Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award, and longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal, this is the first award for this fantastic fable blending science literature and technology. The previous works of the author include The Echo Maker, winner of the National Book Award.
