Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, unveiled the new website of Mango, the children’s imprint in English brought out by DC Books. The launch has marked an elevation in the digital presence of Mango Books in addition to its existence for over a decade.
The new site incorporates features that would give a brand new exposure to the young crowd that forms Mango’s reader base. With a brief and interesting overview of books published by Mango to an exclusive creative space for kids in the children’s wall, the new website has it all. For those who ‘have your nose in a book’, the website would act as a platform to find great literature.
From creative fiction to retold classics, Mango books bring to children a sweet treat leaving a solid foundation for expanding their linguistic abilities. Started in 2007 as Tumbi, the brand later morphed to Mango in October 2008.
Mango books aim to provide an indigenous flavour, apart from a regular diet of literature from across the world. Working with India’s leading children’s writers, the brilliant stories and imaginative illustrations captivate children and keep them indulged in the books. Enriched with creative designs, Mango’s books are not just an entertaining read but a visual treat as well. We also work in collaboration with foreign publishers, bringing acclaimed children’s classics to children. Reflecting time and culture, bringing universal themes to children, Mango is a one-stop-shop for children.
With an emphasis to give equal weighting to all literary genres catering to children, Mango publishes books under categories ranging from early learning series, retold stories, classic tales, creative fiction, and non-fiction.
The evergreen titles which are treasured irrespective of time gives the reader the essence of the classic pieces of advice one needs to benefit from. The classics, folktales, and tales from Indian history and around the world speak to us the tales of yore. Unearthing some of the hidden tales where fiction plays a major role, Mango, through its Spooky Series, brings to the limelight a genre that is least explored in children’s fiction.
The collection from Mango leads the way to create worlds that are new and unexplored, capable to grab the attention of all those curious little minds.
