The study of history is very important and relevant in today’s world. When history is manipulated and fabricated to meet the needs of biased people with vested interest, proper understanding of our past is a necessity. In this context, Prof.A.Sreedhara Menon’s ‘A survey of Kerala History’ is of utmost contemporary relevance as it deals with Kerala’s geographical background, pre-historic period to the ‘social reform’ movements and the cultural history too. A must read for the students of history and anyone with a curiosity to go through the history of our land.
