When the orphaned siblings, Arromel and Ambili, are brought to Jig Jigolly to be taken care of by the station master, little do they know that, their lives are going to take a very adventurous and dangerous turn. The thrill of finding their new home, an old disused steam engine is marred by some strange phenomenon that is bent on from getting the children out from there. At times, unnerving, frightening and even threatening them, this hostile one’s fury wages battle with the plucky youngsters.
What is it about the hostile one that relentlessly scare them away? Arromel and Ambili along with their new friend from forest, Thamara, decide to get the bottom of the strange occurrences. With the help from Aunt Menaka, the magic woman from the forest and some from unlikely places, the children embark on a journey, that takes them through the forest, up the scraggy hills, into the tickle- fish streams, in and out of a castle and along the forgotten tracks. Aunt Vani, the station master’s wife- whose delicious food tantalizes their taste buds every meal- also adds to their muscle in the fight to keep their beloved engine home.
